BRIEFLY A recent poll carried out by the SA Medical Association (Sama) found that 38% of the doctors it represents are prepared to emigrate from South Africa if the new National Health Insurance (NHI) scheme is implemented. Briefly.co.za learned that only 39% of doctors polled revealed that they would stay in SA, 17% were unsure and 6% said they would emigrate for other reasons. Sama spokesperson Dr Mvuyisi Mzukwa revealed that the organisation is supportive of the planned NHI Bill.
